I think I heard a crow say hello to me today
It said it in a raspy voice before it flew away
I watched it fly onto a pole where it found its seating
Then it cawed down from above the unsuspected greeting
Perhaps my mind plays tricks on me, or my imagination
That made this beast personified and give a salutation
But I know when I heard the voice, I surely was not dreaming
A voice so distinct, yet harsh, like one fatigued from screaming
Perhaps it was a messenger from one among the dead
But then why did it not give more words than what was said
Such talk is merely legend, only points to ponder
But what if, just this once, I witnessed
My dad recently passed away Saturday night after a two year battle with lung cancer. If you could please pray for my mom as she is having a very difficult time and is battling terminal pancreatic cancer herself. She needs all the strength and prayers she can get at this time.
